October 30, 2013 - Thanks to Health borderlands underdome Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) for letting us know of a recall involving HeathCo LLC Heath/Zenith and Portfolio brand motion-activated outdoor lights, where the internal wiring can energize the entire surface and fittings of the fixture, posing an electrical shock hazard.
The recall involves multiple borderlands underdome ceiling and wall-mounted fixtures sold in Canada. See Table for model numbers. N.B. Consumers who have the original packaging from their 4305 model products can check for the following specific model numbers on the box: SL-4305-BK-B SL-4305-WH-B HZ-4305-WH (These are the only model numbers within the 4305 family affected by the recall.) The product is designed to turn on when motion is detected at night, and comes in a variety of styles and finishes. The brand name and model number are not visible on the outside of the product, borderlands underdome but can be found on a label located on the back of the motion sensor (for wall-mounted borderlands underdome models) or underneath the motion sensor cover (for ceiling-mounted models). About 13,000 units (12 models) of the recalled light fixtures were sold in Canada at various retail locations nationwide and online between December 2006 through July 2013. Neither Health Canada nor HeathCo LLC have received any reports of incidents or injuries borderlands underdome related to the use of the affected light fixtures. The fixtures were manufactured in China. Consumers should immediately stop using the lights and turn the power to the fixtures Off at the source.
