UberMedia has always been a company that has been linked to social networks, in fact they are the owners of applications like Echofon or UberSocial. Well, it seems that inadvertently have launched an application in the App Store for its new service, a social network. The website is not yet available, but is expected to be open tomorrow. Chime.in is the name of this social network and apparently has an air of Twitter in support pages some details of the new service are discussed.
This new social network would send short messages to a network to be organized by interests seeking to participate in conversations and more deeply interact with content related to those interests. That is, we can keep conversations related to the topics that most interest us, this is certainly not new, but it can be the way that the conversation is created.
All other social networks try to connect people, Chime.in is about connecting people by interest, allowing you to tailor the content being searched and the issues that concern you, so do not get bogged down by messages that are not interested.
It really does not sound too bad, but the main problem it faces is that perhaps many people are not interested in changing social network contacts as it has already settled on one of them and switch to another may not be interesting. Why Chime.in instead use Facebook isdk or Twitter? The reasons they give are:
