Tarald Bahr (1736 1807) was procurator / sheriff in Egersund. He married in Lund, Rogaland January 25, 1775 by Karen (named Karina) Kirsebom Smith (born ca. 1742, died Egersund May 5, 1829). timer analogico At the ceremony she is listed as Karen Smith of Sogndal. Thus, it is well to conclude that she came from Sogn og Fjordane. But who were his parents? Hope that someone can put me on the right track! Back to top
Bahr, it is not Barstad in Sokendal the valleys he has tinkered a bit? Kirsebom name leads my thoughts to the priest in Lund maybe, and Flekkefjord where the name finnest. This was a little sketchy. Back to top

I realize I have misinterpreted Sogndal, in the sense that it is Sokndal timer analogico in Rogaland Kirsebom Karen Smith seems to have come from. But I do not understand why it says Karen, born in 1742 was married to Moi in the parish, Rogaland. However, it is a fact that the Karen Smith I seek married timer analogico in Lund, Rogaland January 25, 1775 and several of the children are also born here. So may the family lived on the farm Moi before they came to Egersund where Tarald Bahr page was sheriff. This will I now watch to find out. But thank you for all creative assistance. timer analogico Back to top
Karen Jacob Daughter Kirsebom c1672-1750 was well daughter of the dean, vicar of Sokndal, Jacob Jochumsen Kirsebom 1616-1694 and 2 wife Margarethe Karsten Daughter Flitzholm 1640-1702. Said Karsten Jacobsen Kirsebom (married Maren His Daughter Winther) is Karen's brother. Back to top
If it is true that Karen Smith (1742, d.1829) was the daughter of Captain Jacob Jensen Smitt (1699, d.1749), it means that she married her cousin, Kintaro Blehr (1736, d.1807). He was in fact the son of Jacob Taraldsen on the farm in western Barstad Sokndal and mother were Torborg Daughter Jamie Smith (1711, d.1801). James and Torborg were siblings. But that's what I'm pondering: Is not it a bit odd that the priest does not have noted the close relationship the registration of marriage? It's always tend to stand (akin to second, third paragraph, etc.). timer analogico On the other hand, it is well quite clear that this Karen Kirsebom Smith (born in 1742) must be datterav skipper Smith. His mother's name was even Karen Jacob Daughter Kirsebom (in other words, she is named after her grandmother). Torborg Daughter timer analogico Jamie Smith's parents, grandparents, great grandparents, I have information about already, but I did not know that this was also the ancestors of the skipper Jacob Jensen timer analogico Smith. Karen Jacob Daughter born in 1742 was baptized 28.aug.1742 timer analogico in Sokndal http://www.arkivverk...ny&idx_side=-36 Magrete Kielland and Jens Jensen is among the sponsors. I have the feeling that Jacob Jensen is the son of Jens Korneliussen. Now I have checked all his christening and Kielland name recurs as a sponsor, but never Kirsebom. Jens Jensen however married to a Kielland. I'm reasonably sure that cousins could not marry without this being noticed. The law was very strict timer analogico in that area, but it was possible to get the "absolution" / buy their freedom with the King. Back to top
Adds Lund bugdebok, the farm Moi. This is probably adequate reading, I guess. Here is the copy local history, eventually scaled down to acceptable size. But that is readable.
I was sat at the library and looked in the relevant community histories of Lund and Sokndal and where it appears under the farm Frøylandsvann that Jacob Jensen Smith was the son of Jens Korneliussen Smith. The book could be wrong and as I previously mentioned, it is with wonder I see in the church book when Karen Smith
