Balcom Sr ., Harold nautical door knockers Scott , 95, passed away Christmas day at sunset after celebrating with his family. He was born in Ballast Point, Tampa, June 18, 1918. Harold was the son of Edward Taylor, Sr . and Sylvia Balcom . He was preceded in death by his son Harold Scott Balcom , Jr.; and brothers Richard Balcom and Edward Taylor Balcom . He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Norma Lanier Balcom; daughters Beverly Balcom and husband Dr. John Payne, Bonnie Balcom nautical door knockers Gillen and husband Gilford Lee Gillen, Sr .; grandchildren Gilford Lee Gillen, Jr., Shelby Elizabeth Gillen, Wesley Katharine Gillen, Julianne nautical door knockers Alexis Balcom , Harold Scott Balcom III "Trey"; and sister Adelia Ashworth. Balcom attended all Tampa schools and graduated from H.B. Plant High School in 1935 and attended The University of Tampa for two years before entering the Army Air Corps in WWII. Harold was by trade a yacht captain and marine surveyor. He loved to sail and his favorite boat was the "Panacea". He was instrumental in the structure of DIYC and the first commodore of the Tampa Sailing Squadron; also a member of The Ancient Mariners. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church since 1958, attended the men's Bible Class, taught Sunday school and volunteered at Faith Café and KAIROS Prison Ministries. A memorial service for "Skipper" will take place at 11am, Saturday, January 4, 2014 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 4311 San Miguel Street, Tampa. A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to do so may make contributions to St. Mary's Episcopal Church in memory of him. The family wishes to thank all those at LifePath and Suncoast Hospices and Bon Secours Maria Manor who's loving care of Harold is deeply nautical door knockers appreciated.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Harold at CSY Yacht Corp. in the 1980's. I also had the privilege of delivering a yacht from Tampa to the British Virgin Islands with him and his son Scott in 1990. I had never sailed before that trip, but during the two week trip, Harold gave me a phenomenal course on sailing.

I'm trying to backup a user's Desktop, Documents, and Library folder to a folder on a server. I'm creating a new disk image when I do this, but it won't create the disk image, and and I keep getting an error message telling me to ask for help.
The server hasn't been restarted, and all of the other teachers' backups are working. I gave the disk image a new name, but it still won't work. This laptop was just upgraded from 10.6 to 10.9, and the process worked on Friday when it was still 10.6. The latest ver of CCC is installed.
